The FRSC recruitment 2026 exercise will officially begin on Friday, July 3, as the Federal Road Safety Corps invites qualified Nigerians to apply for vacancies across its Officer, Marshal Inspectorate and Road Marshal Assistant cadres. The online application process will remain open for four weeks through the agency’s official recruitment portal.
The announcement was contained in a recruitment notice dated June 24 and signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal.
The Corps emphasised that the recruitment process is completely free and warned applicants against making payments to individuals or groups claiming to offer employment opportunities. According to the notice, shortlisted candidates will be required to present printed copies of their completed application forms during the screening exercise.
Interested applicants are expected to complete their applications through the official FRSC recruitment portal from Friday, July 3. The application window will remain open for four weeks. Applicants are advised to use their personal email addresses and telephone numbers during registration. The Corps stated that all applications must be submitted online within the specified deadline.
The FRSC recruitment 2026 exercise covers three major categories: officer Cadre, marshal Inspectorate Cadre, road Marshal Assistant Cadre
For the Officer Cadre, vacancies are available for Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders, Deputy Route Commanders and Assistant Route Commanders. Professionals eligible to apply include: Medical doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses, Medical laboratory scientists, Lawyers, Engineers, B.Sc., BA and HND graduates
Applicants for these positions must generally be between 18 and 35 years old. The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is open to holders of: NCE, ND/OND, registered Nurse or Registered Midwife qualifications, community Health Extension Worker certificates
Candidates in this category must be between 18 and 30 years old. The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is open to applicants with at least three SSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
The Corps also invited artisans and skilled workers, including computer operators, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors, motorcycle riders and drivers, to apply, provided they possess relevant trade qualifications and valid licences. Applicants for driver and rider positions must hold the appropriate class of driver’s licence, while articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.
Applicants for FRSC recruitment 2026 must: be Nigerian by birth, be computer literate, be medically fit, be single, possess the required educational qualifications and professional licences where applicable, have a minimum height of 1.65 metres for men and 1.58 metres for women, be of good character, have no criminal conviction, be free from financial indebtedness, have no tattoos on any part of the body
The Corps also directed candidates to declare all academic and professional qualifications during the recruitment process, noting that undeclared qualifications will not be recognised for future career advancement. Pregnant women were advised not to apply.
The FRSC reiterated that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment exercise. It urged applicants to remain vigilant against fraudsters and reminded the public that the exercise is entirely free.
