The UK visas citizenship fees that Nigerians and other applicants will pay from April 8, 2026 have been published by the United Kingdom’s Home Office under its revised immigration and nationality fee schedule.

The Route to Settlement application fee will increase to £2,064, while similar dependants’ categories will rise to £3,635. Indefinite leave to enter the UK as a dependant of an armed forces service leaver will rise to £3,226.

The student visa fee for main applicants and dependants will rise to £558, and various Global Business Mobility and skilled worker categories show fee changes, with most increasing by amounts between £21 and £99 depending on category and duration.
The changes affect immigration and nationality applications across multiple stages. For applicants seeking to naturalise or register as British citizens, the naturalisation fee will rise to £1,709.
Registration as a British citizen for adults will increase to £1,540, while child registration under some conditions will decrease to £1,000. Fees for renunciation of nationality and nationality review also increase slightly.
Optional services linked to visa applications, including priority and super‑priority processing, remain unchanged in the updated schedule, with standard priority fees staying at £500 and super priority at £1,000, according to the new fee list.
