The National Youth Service Corps has announced that its online portal will open for prospective corps members to register for mobilisation from March 12 to March 18, 2026.
The scheme disclosed the development in a notice shared through its official social media platforms, informing prospective corps members about the registration schedule for the upcoming mobilisation exercise.
According to the notice, eligible graduates will be able to complete their online registration within the one-week window provided by the scheme.
The announcement stated:
“Attention, Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), I am happy to inform you that the NYSC portal will be opened for online registration from 12th to 18th March, 2026.”
The scheme explained that only graduates whose names appear on the approved Senate or Academic Board lists submitted by their institutions will be eligible to register on the portal.
It added that institutions must upload the details of eligible graduates to the NYSC portal before they can proceed with the online registration process.
Prospective corps members were advised to confirm that their personal information is accurate before beginning registration.
The NYSC emphasised that the names on the records of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) must correspond with those appearing on the Senate list and the NYSC portal.
Graduates were also instructed to ensure that their names on the portal match the ones on their academic certificates or statements of results.
Senate List Verification
The agency further directed prospective corps members to verify their details through the Senate list verification portal before commencing online registration.
The development follows ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s education sector aimed at strengthening academic record management and preventing certificate fraud.
Earlier, the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, announced stricter measures to curb certificate fraud and warned that graduates without proper documentation would not be mobilised for the national service programme.
