34,060 Candidates Pass with Credits in Mathematics and English in NABTEB Results

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced that 34,060 candidates obtained credit passes in Mathematics and English in its 2025 November/December certificate examinations.

The board released the results in Benin City, Edo State, on Monday.
Dr. Mohammed Mohammed, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, made the announcement during the result release event.

The examinations covered the National Business Certificate (NBC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC) and Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC).
The exams were conducted from November 3 to December 6, 2025, across 2,079 centres in Nigeria.

A total of 61,591 candidates registered for the exams, including 57,444 ordinary level and 4,147 advanced level candidates.

Of the candidates who sat, 34,060 achieved credit passes in both Mathematics and English.
Overall, 54,009 candidates obtained at least five credits with or without English and Mathematics, representing 94.74 per cent of the cohort.

The board also reported that 57.32 per cent of candidates were certified as craftsmen with NBC/NTC certificates, while 56.52 per cent qualified as master craftsmen with ANBC/ANTC certificates.
The examinations recorded 259 candidates representing 0.42 per cent of those who sat involved in examination malpractice.

Dr. Mohammed said the results were released within 64 days of the last paper and 24 days from the completion of marking.

The number of candidates obtaining credit passes in Mathematics and English provides a benchmark for academic progression and vocational qualification recognition across Nigeria.

The high rate of candidates earning five credits with or without the two core subjects may influence educational planning and technical training initiatives.

The relatively low incidence of examination malpractice reflects NABTEB’s efforts to uphold examination integrity, according to the board’s announcement.
